Linux mesg command
Linux mesg command is used to set the write permissions terminals.
When setting the mesg y, other users can use the information directly write instructions displayed on your screen.
grammar
mesg [ny]
Parameters:
- n does not allow users to pump information will be displayed directly on your screen.
- y allows the pump user information will be displayed directly on your screen.
Examples
Allow other users to send information to the current terminal.
root terminal
# mesg y //在这个终端设置允许发送消息
Other common user terminal:
$ write root pts/4 hello hello EOF //Ctrl+D 结束输入
root terminal display terminal
# Message from [email protected] (as hnlinux) on pts/5 at 14:48 ... hello EOF
