WSDL to describe Web services (Web Services)

WSDL refers to the Web Services Description Language (Web Services Description Language).

WSDL is a document written in XML use. This document may describe a Web service. It may provide location-based services, as well as operating the service provided (or methods).


In the history of the development of the W3C's WSDL

In March 2001, WSDL 1.1 is IBM, Microsoft submitted as a W3C record (W3C note) to the W3C XML Protocol XML related activity, for describing network services.

(W3C for discussion only record, according to a recording released W3C does not mean that it has been recognized by W3C or the W3C Team or will any W3C member.)

In July 2002, W3C released the first WSDL 1.2 working draft.
