Whether the border-collapse attribute set table borders are combined into a single frame, or the like that are displayed separately in the standard HTML.

Browser Support
All major browsers support border - collapse property.
Note: any version of Internet Explorer (including IE9) support the property value "inherit".
Note:! Border - collapse property, if no DOCTYPE, may have unexpected results.
Property Values
value | Explanation |
---|---|
collapse | If possible, the border will be merged into a single border. It ignores the border-spacing and empty-cells property |
separate | Defaults. Border will be separated. Not ignore the border-spacing and empty-cells property |
inherit | Provisions should inherit border-collapse attribute value from the parent element |
