HTML ASCII Reference Manual

ASCII character set is used to transfer information between different computers on the Internet.

ASCII character set

ASCII, it stands for "American Standard Code for Information Interchange." It was designed in the early 1960s, such as computers and printers, tape drives standard character set like hardware devices.

7-bit ASCII character set contains 128 different character values.

ASCII support 0-9, AZ uppercase and lowercase letters, and some special characters.

Are widely used in modern computers, HTML and character sets on the Internet are based on ASCII.

The following table lists the 128 ASCII characters, and corresponding physical coding HTML.

ASCII device control characters were originally designed to control hardware devices such as printers and tape drives and the like.

The code does not play any role in an HTML document.
